The Lungau Valley is a wonderful snow bowl offering altogether more than 300km of downhill ski slopes, serviced by more than 60 lifts.

The main skiing season here begins at the end of December and offers snow-sure skiing up till mid-April each year.  In Obertauern season starts at the end of November and doesn't finish until the beginning of May - that's nearly half a year on the slopes!

The area is amazing and in St Michael at the heart of the valley, we remain mostly untouched by the pressures of tourism.  People are friendly, accidents are few and the lifts are quiet - a queue is very unusual here.

There are a variety of runs to suit all levels of skier and snowboarder and over 150km of Cross Country Ski routes connecting the 15 Valley Towns with an additional 100km of Skating Routes.

We have some brilliant Ski Schools and Touring Guides, a couple of Snow Parks and a world rated Kiteboard Instructor.
