 WINTER HIKING and SNOW SHOE TOURS
Winter Walking and Hiking is an excellent way to experience the peace and the beauty that is the Lungau Valley in the winter. Loose yourself (although not literally!) in the quiet landscape and enjoy the crisp winter air and glittering snow covered fields and trees.
 Walking routes are well signed and maps are available from the Tourist Offices. Some of the Town and Mountain Lift websites provide good descriptions and further ideas too - have a look at St Michael / English
The Lungau Tourist Website offers an overview of the main walking paths. The site also provides a downloadable map, click HERE to go to the relevant page and download "Active Winters".
 For a more adventurous excursion try out a Snow Shoe Hike. Walking in Snow Shoes is fun to learn, easy to do and allows you to explore places that would otherwise be difficult. A number of the outdoor centres offer guided tours and moonlit Snow Shoe Walks.
